Too busy to take care of yourself? 10 habits to get you started

Life moves fast and in all sorts of directions. It feels as though we have so much to do in so little time. We're all faced with the big, small, and in-betweens of life that consume our time and energy so it makes perfect sense that we often forget to make ourselves a priority. 



I started to take note of the things that made me feel better, especially during those moments that I lacked energy and patience, and put forth the effort to make time for them. I quickly noticed a difference in my mindset and how I physically felt throughout the day. We often carry the weight of the world on our shoulders without nourishing ourselves first. Taking care of our mind|body|spirit with self-care moments empower us to be the best versions of ourselves and allow us to spread that love and light onto others. 


Try my simple yet effective tips to go from busy to balanced.


  1. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day

  2. Take a ginger shot in the morning for a boost of energy

  3. Make a natural juice or smoothie and eat more greens

  4. Stretch upon waking up and throughout the day

  5. Get dolled up, just because

  6. Burn sage, bay leaves, or wood essence 

  7. Meditate

  8. Listen to music

  9. Keep a journal 

  10. Do nothing and ENJOY the moment
